(low-threshold youth clubs)

Program goal and mission

Vpoho is a grant programme of the Vodafone Czech Republic Foundation whose aim is to minimise the risks facing young people when growing up. A particular focus of the Vpoho programme is on supporting the work of low threshold clubs offering young people a helping hand and a safe environment for self discovery, as well as opportunities for making active use of their free time.

Since 2006 the Vpoho programme has given over 15½ million CZK to low threshold clubs across the Czech Republic. The programme partner is the Czech Streetwork Association. In 2008 the programme was accompanied by an educational campaign that included support to the www.streetwork.cz internet portal, a series of benefit concerts entitled „the Low Threshold Tour“ and the presentation of „time boot“ annual awards for low threshold clubs.
