Vodafone Czech Republic a.s. (formerly Oskar Mobil a.s.) began commercial operations as the third mobile operator on the Czech market on March 1, 2000. Vodafone Czech Republic a.s. is 100% owned by the Vodafone Group Plc – a global mobile operator with its headquarters in Great Britain, operating in 28 countries.

Vodafone is world class not only in mobile communications, but also in what is known as Corporate Responsibility (CR). In 2006, the AccountAbility agency rated Vodafone as the most socially responsible firm in the world.

Vodafone Czech Republic a.s. practices the principles of corporate responsibility not only in its everyday activities, but also as a member of an organization that promotes the principles of corporate responsibility – the Donors' Forum and the Business Leaders Forum.
